Fittsey Fitness App Redesign
The project was to modernize the mobile experience of Fittsey, a multi-studio fitness booking platform.
Working within the constraints of the original layout, the focus was shifted toward a mobile-first approach
Challenges
Web-first UI design
Interactive elements suffered from critically small touch targets, creating an environment prone to accidental clicks and user frustration.
No possibility of studio switching without logging out and back in
Lack of booking clarity during the final conversion steps.
Lack of persistent settings meant users had to manually re-enter filters every single time.
Process
The project began with a deep dive into the existing Fittsey app to identify pain points as well as users research through ratings and comments on AppStore and PlayStore
In the early phase, I analyzed native fitness and booking apps to establish a benchmark for mobile-first navigation and ergonomic touch targets.
I moved directly into UI redesign, focusing on scaling up interactive elements and creating a more breathable, intuitive interface whilst keeping general original layout
In the final stage, I developed a clickable prototype that solved for user persistence, allowing filters and locations to be saved for a seamless, repeat-user experience.

The results
The final redesign transformed a static, web-like interface into a dynamic mobile experience that feels native to the user's device.
By increasing the size of interactive elements, the app now provides effortless navigation, eliminating the frustration of "fat-finger" errors and missed taps.
The introduction of saving locations and filters drastically reduced user friction, making the booking process significantly faster for returning members.
Ultimately, the new flow provides absolute booking clarity, using responsive confirmations to give users total confidence that their next workout is secured.
